Epilepsy in the elderly
From the age of 60 the chance of epilepsy increases. Sometimes, epileptic seizures in elderly people are confused with other causes, such as diabetes, TIA or dementia.
This care path is aimed at determining the correct diagnosis and supporting elderly with epilepsy and questions related to this stage in life. Our goal is to achieve an optimal quality of life with special attention for the diagnosis epilepsy, interactions between anti-epileptic drugs and other medication, osteoporosis and cognitive problems.
